December 29th. Wonderful weather in Englewood. It was 80 degrees yesterday and didn’t feel hot at all. Last Thursday we drove down to the Englewood farmers market to purchase some local fruit. It was also a flea market. Much larger than I expected. Their pulled pork and chicken sandwiches were great. Later we loopers Patty,Mike, Ed,Kyle, and Bruce and I joined together at the pool for docktails and bon voyage for Lulu and Scott who are leaving for a month to enjoy Marathon Key. Bruce snapped a good picture of our local alligator who resides a few miles up on placida road.

Our Christmas was very low-key. Maren and her family were home for Thanksgiving, but at her husband’s family for Christmas. Molly was with us, so we mainly chilled out on Christmas Day. We had the Flom Christmas Eve at Muriel’s house in Edina which was very nice. You are missing out on cold weather and not much snow. Your trip sounds like so much fun! New Years Eve we will be at Linda Voxland Hellstern’s house. Stephanie Bonhus Meinke and her husband, Gwen Gunhus Springer and her husband, and another couple will be there, too. We always have fun! Happy New Year to you and Bruce!!
