November 11th we crossed Mobile Bay to Gulf Shores Alabama and are at Homeport Marina. It was neat to see dolphins jumping around our boat. Many birds pelicans and seagulls were circling our boat. We caught sight of our first Intercoastal Waterway markers ( ICW). The red triangles have little yellow triangles on the to, and the green squares have little yellow squares on the top. We stay between the markers so we have enough depth of water and don’t go aground. It is very shallow for miles in Mobile Bay. All the shipping channels are marked. We have palm trees in our marina so it looks beautiful. Cool raining on and off but not as cold as Minnesota. We enjoyed dinner at Lulu’s to celebrate. The owner is Jimmy Buffets sister. Good crab cakes . Monday Parrot Bay invited us for dinner. Bean soup and cornbread . Very good.
